Are you the Area sales manager we are looking for for one of our clients in the Liège area?

As Area Sales Manager, your responsibilities are as follows:
- Travel to the territories (50%) concerned to meet with distributors, customers and OEM accounts.
- Conduct business as Industry Specialist (tire, glass, plastics, transportation, metallurgy, etc.) and promote the reputation of the company.
- Project management (with the distributor in charge of the project and the customer) in close collaboration with the distributor on the territory concerned.
- Make technical presentations.
- Good listening and analytical skills in order to map out customers’ needs and offer the appropriate solutions.
- Collect data relating to current projects, sales potential and probability of success for all active and prospective customers
- Work with the Global Sales Team to develop relevant training on the different Industries, the market, customers, products, applications and industry intelligence and disseminate such training through distribution, OEMs and customers by visits, on-site or in-house presentations and otherwise.
- Provide sales and project management support for area-Operations to the Global Sales Team.
- Marketing support – documentation of the “WINS” for easy duplication. Sense of marketing - creativity and out-of-the box thinking mentality
- Sales forces training (Europe training in Belgium and training at customers).
- Work with the engineering team to ensure development schedules and deliveries are being met.
- Attend and/or participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Develop his own specialties/product range to become a support for the rest of the team.
- Develop support material for other members of the sales team.
- Analyze sales data and statistics.
- Monitor and evaluate activity of the competition and report to the Sales Manager in Belgium.
- Submit detailed monthly report to the Sales Manager in Belgium.

The ideal candidate would have also INTERNAL & TECHNICAL responsibilities:
- Product codification description
- Product modification description
- Drawings description
- Spare parts information
- Make quotations
- Support in terms of deliveries, prototypes and special projects
- Quality claims follow up – specific reports


You are the Area Sales Manager (m/w) we are looking for if you have the following skills:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Language skills: Must be fluent in ENGLISH and GERMAN – additional language skills a plus (Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Arabic).
- Willing to travel extensively (50 to 60% is a must).
- Education: Master/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
- Experience: JUNIOR or few years in industrial environment.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft and Office suite – additional computer skills like SolidWorks is a plus.
- Advanced Skills: Independent, flexible, sound business acumen, analytical abilities, conflict resolution tactics, communications and presentations skills, skilled negotiator, Thrives in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. Must be recognized as a dynamic, meticulous and self motivated person with a clear long-term business vision and a strong “can do” mindset.
